Pub;ic Notice period shortened to seven days. allegedly due to the pandemic.  the question is which new party is aimed at cutting votes of which party. Which party will benefit?

Instead of me having to peep through the glass to see the paper print out, and not knowing where that paper is going, it would be prudent if the paper can be torn out, and the print out taken by the voter to another physical electronic box. The Print out can be made machine readable and physically verified later by any inquiry.

But why would hoardings about a programme on the UP election specifically feature ads for the state government? What about the other political parties? When asked, Parashar told Newslaundry, “It’s the marketing team’s job. I’ll give you their number. You talk to them.” She never sent the number, nor did she subsequently take out calls.

(Update: Days after this report was published in Newslaundry Hindi, the hoardings were removed from outside the Doordarshan office.)
