the election commission of India last week announced the schedule for assembly elections in five states of Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Manipur. The Model Code of Conduct came into force in the country since then. Model Code of Conduct means, there are certain guidelines laid down by the Election Commission that political parties, their workers have to follow during the period when MCC is in force. It is the responsibility of the Election Commission to supervise and keep a check whether there are violations of the Model Code of Conduct. But is it doing so? #AseemArun #KanpurCommissioner
