Indian agriculture was historically in a state of crisis due to the complete absence of agrarian reform outside Kerala, West Bengal and Tripura, and poor levels of public investment in rural infrastructure. 

Free trade agreements have resulted in a major inflow of predatory imports, resulting in the crash of many commodity prices. Consequently, profitability rates have shrunk across crops. Agricultural credit is being diverted from small and marginal farmers towards the richer sections and corporate agribusiness houses.

These three farm laws of the BJP regime, in a nutshell, aim to dismantle the MSP regime, government procurement of foodgrains, and thus the entire public distribution system, which is availed of by over 81 crore people in India.

Farmers have decided to end their sit-in protest in Haryana's Karnal district after the state government agreed to three main demands of the protesting farmers. In a joint press conference which included representative from both sides; government and farmers, it was announced that a judicial inquiry will be launched against Karnal SDM Ayush Sinha whose video of ordering lathicharge on farmers went viral on social media. The investigation will be monitored by a retired High Court judge. SDM Sinha has been sent on leave for one month; duration of the probe. The government also promised jobs to 2 family members of a deceased farmer who was also a part of protest and died on the next day of police lathicharge.

He starts with how everything is being privatised, then spoke about the state of the average cop, issues concerning workers, how pensions are being withdrawn, and how ‘Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s constitution is being destroyed’. Finally, finished it with the old BKU slogan, Allahu Akbar- Har Har Mahadev. Clearly, he made overtures to people beyond just farmers.

किसान कानूनों को लेकर दिल्ली के बाॅर्डर पर दस महीने से किसान आंदोलन चल रहे हैं, वहीं पांच सितंबर को यूपी के मुजफ्फरनगर में संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा की महापंचायत हुई, जिसमें हरियाणा, यूपी, पंजाब, उत्तराखंड सहित कई राज्यों के लाखों किसान आए। इस मौके पर राकेश टिकैत ने अल्लाह हू अकबर हर-हर महादेव का नारा दिया तो किसानों में एकता का शंखनाद हो गया, लेकिन हिंदू धर्म के कुछ लोग इस नारे से खुश नहीं हैं। नारे को लेकर आंदोलनकारी हरेंद्र विक्लांग ने कहा कि इससे एकता आ रही है।
