As CM lobbied, Centre went against rules, courts to allow river mining in Uttarakhand https://www.reporters-collective.in/trc/as-cm-lobbied-centre-went-against-rules-courts-to-allow-river-mining-in-uttarakhand Tapasya & Aggam Walia July 17, 2023
Before the onset of monsoon, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami personally lobbied with the Centre to keep mining four rivers. The Centre, ruled by his fellow partymen, fulfilled his demand in breach of critical environmental safeguards.
One of the four rivers is Gaula, which is a lifeline for the state’s populous and commercially prosperous city of Haldwani. The river is dying. During the lean season, most of its length is hardly more than a shallow and sometimes bone-dry due to deforestation, excessive mining and pollution..
Documents show the Union government repeatedly approved mining in Gaula despite the state government’s failure to comply with terms to protect the environment. ...Moreover, the permission to mine was granted overlooking the errant miner’s history of flouting multiple norms as it dug up boulders, sand, gravel and other minerals from the rivers for the past decade...

Humans living on Moon: Chandrayaan-3 to explore possibilities, says Union Minister https://www.livemint.com/news/india/humans-living-on-moon-chandrayaan-3-to-explore-possibilities-says-union-minister-dr-jitendra-singh/amp-11689402364625.html
‘Those who had landed before us could not procure those findings which were obtained by Chandrayaan,’ said Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh. video https://twitter.com/i/status/1680094912577142785 Chandrayaan-3 aims to achieve what its predecessor, Chandrayaan-2, was unable to accomplish during its attempted soft landing on the lunar surface in 2019. This mission will position India as the fourth country, following the United States, China, and Russia, to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon, highlighting the nation's prowess in safe and gentle lunar landings.
Chandrayaan-3: ‘Let us keep our fingers crossed,’ says ex-ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. Top 10 points 15 Jul 2023,https://www.livemint.com/news/india/chandrayaan3-let-us-keep-our-fingers-crossed-says-ex-isro-scientist-nambi-narayanan-top-10-points/amp-11689387354352.html
ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission successfully launched using GSLV Mark 3 from Sriharikota. It aims to land on the moon's surface and gather data. Once it reaches the moon's surface, Chandrayaan-3 will operate for one lunar day, equivalent to approximately 14 Earth days. This timeframe allows the mission to maximize its exploration and data-gathering activities during the limited operational period on the Moon.
Comment J Hoover:These imbeciles are making life miserable for people in India by destroying God-Given Biodiversity. But, they are exploring the possibility of humans living on the moon! Wow! There is something seriously quirky about the current Gang of Destructive Parliamentarians.

I. You can't just go on continuously pressing the button.
Each push has to be separately enabled -- each time following a set
protocol. II. The (helpless) polling officer, who's actually protesting, could have very well remotely deactivated the machine had it been EVM.
III. Of course, the EVM is just no answer to violence. But, it *restricts* (terror-enabled) false voting in a very big way.

no ground to suspect that any of these videos is/are doctored. Hence, quite valuable documents coming from a citizen journalist with a specific

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday endorsed ..Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday endorsed the demand for Article 355 in Bengal following the violence in the panchayat polls. “The demand is justifiable,” the MP said at a press meet in Kolkata, days after Suvendu Adhikari brought up the demand. Prasad held that the panchayat polls in Bengal displayed a “sickening sign of a shameful democracy”. ..Article 355 says it is the duty of the Centre to convey to every state that government is carried on in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution,” he said.

CGM as an Advertising Tactic https://www.clickz.com/cgm-as-an-advertising-tactic/73113/ The point of advertising is to place an idea in a consumer’s mind that generates value for a company. We're in the midst of a marketing revolution in which the consumer has control. But advertisers still must find ways to gain control to help achieve their goals.
Part of the reason advertisers must view CGM as a potential advertising tactic is because we already know unprompted consumer creations of brand messages simply happen.
BeerBiceps and Godi Media’s similar treatment of Modi government https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ti4BACzM4jU Jul 15, 2023
We revisited Arnab, who once questioned the central government over the rising tomato prices – in a not very highfalutin debate. If that sounded strange, as parts of India flooded due to excessive rain, an ABP reporter plunged into neck-deep waters at a Delhi underpass to report the crisis.
We also looked at the Modi-government ministers’ interviews with influencers, mainly Ranveer Allahbadia urf Beerbiceps. The not-so-very hard-hitting questions asked by the influencer to these ministers reminded us of interviews taken by our beloved prime-time anchors of their beloved dear leader.
Godi media, meanwhile, covered the France protests and Bengal violence, asking questions to the Mamata government, after having ignored the continued ethnic strife in Manipur for a month. In addition, we also found out about the amazing mind-reading abilities of a Times Now reporter.

Modi Has Betrayed Oath of Office; Hindus Must Speak out Against Treatment of Muslimsa https://youtu.be/01TKiMKv_ew The Wire One of India's most highly regarded former Home Secretary says "secular Hindus are uncomfortable, frustrated" adding "and don't know what should we do in Modi's India". Gopal Pillai said if the present treatment of Muslims is not checked and reversed then India could be 10 years away from danger point which he described as "civil disturbance". At one point in the interview he even briefly accepted India could face "civil war".
Mr. Pillai said if Prime Minister Modi and his government do not reverse the present treatment of Muslims, which includes cattle lynchings, economic boycotts and othering, "future generations will hold Modi and his government responsible for endangering India"
This 45-minute interview was arranged at Mr. Pillai's request after he had seen an interview put out last week with Ziya Us Salam on the question 'What is it like to be a Muslim in Narendra Modi's India?' Mr. Pillai suggested that we should do an interview on the subiect 'What is it like to be a secular Hindu in
Narendra Modi's India?' In the interview that followed Mr. Pillai said he had suggested this subject because, as he put it, "Muslims should know Hindus support them and do not accept lynchings, boycotts or calls for genocide". Mr. Pillai said Hindus want to "live in harmony and peace".

Defending the Idea of India April 15, 2023
There is growing violence, an atmosphere of hatred across the nation and a consistent attack on the democratic fabric of our country. Constitutional and human rights of people, most notably – the fundamental right to equality, the right to live with dignity, to question the state and dissent – have been trampled with impunity. Institutions of oversight have been systematically emaciated, with the independence of the judiciary under a serious cloud and the functioning of the Parliament gravely compromised. We have learnt from the experience of neighbouring countries, once these structures are allowed to crumble, nations pay huge prices to rebuild them.
We feel that the urgency to intervene in defence of diversity, pluralism, democracy, constitutional values and justice has never been more pressing than in the conditions prevailing in the country today. It is therefore necessary to energize all peace loving citizens by conscious interventions.
