Isnt it time, we recheck our traditional notions of the Bhakt and what motivates them?
See this Amanpour interview which gives you a profile of the Bhakts of Trump! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dskVval50AE
You will find them more where the Rights of the have-nots, is out-pacing the Rights of the Haves. It is the "fear of the Great Replacement"

It is in this light we here need to check out the issues which engage this group in India. I feel many of the so called Bhakts came in with something and this is the time they they are vulnerable to decoding their reaction..
Most of it seems to be a reaction to Centre-Left intransigence.. There is a big crop of people who got disillusioned with the Left..
Many advertising and Management types also initially when for the Modi alternative. Even Prashant Kishore has been moving round the spectrum.. and now wants "to quit the space" when he "is up" indicating that he wanted to do it earlier..
So superimposed on the social psychology of caste based mobilisation , we seem to now have "secular castes". If the Opposition has to make any headway in run up to 2024, it will have to build a narrative which neutralise the reasons why these bhakt came to support support the current dispensation in the first place and quite a lot of this revovles around the perpetuating the myth that aspirational Inida can be trickle down to the common man under a Dabang Leader.. That is why the main response to the crisis of COVID, as well as the economy, farmers agitation, Polarisations etc, has been twisted by the toolkit as an attempt to spoil Modi's and thereby India's image abroad.
