As per reports, over ten houses were set ablaze and the clashes led to over two dozen being injured. The next day, houses of those allegedly involved in stone-pelting were demolished by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government. 16 houses and 25 shops in five localities of the town were razed down. While the government says that these demolitions are part of an ongoing drive, MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Sunday had said, "Jis ghar se pathar aaye hain, un ghar ko pathar bana denge."
