Parliamentary Committee Dismayed! 80% of Fund For Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme Used On Ads Dec 11, 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf2v57ehzIk
"In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, just a year after he took office announced a very ambitious scheme aimed at girls in the country. The scheme was called Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. Prime Minister Modi launched the scheme from Haryana's Panipat. Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit was made the brand ambassador of the initiative. The campaign was aimed at addressing the dipping CSR and empowering the girl child in the country.
Now six years later, it has come to light that 80 percent of the funds for the scheme has been used only for its advertising. Not for sectoral interventions, not on actual ground action in sectors of Girls' education or their health but on the advertisement.
and this is not any NGO data that the govts both central and various states could term as incorrect. This is the report of the Parliamentary Committee headed by BJP Maharashtra MP Hina Gavit.
So What did the report say? What exactly was the aim and what were the goals under Beti Bachao, beti Padhao scheme? and who is responsible for the poor implementation of the scheme?

Rahul takes a dig at BJP over panel report on 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' scheme by Shankhyaneel Sarkar https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/other/rahul-takes-a-dig-at-bjp-over-panel-report-on-beti-bachao-beti-padhao-scheme/ar-AARIvPr   The panel said that since the scheme has managed to capture national attention and influence the national consciousness regarding the necessity of valuing the girl child it should now focus on making financial provisions in order to achieve measurable outcomes related to education and health, the aim with which the scheme was rolled out.

Comment: The question is, if the ads were mainly aimed at education and targetted at the people who needs it, it could be justified. Even so, it betrays the fact that a major reason why education of girls is neglected is that they are expected to look after their siblings at home while their parents go out to earn their daily wage.. Creches in schools, home cooked meals, milk are some of the much needed reforms.
