On February 19, he was allegedly robbed and stabbed multiple times in Samnapur village. He was later taken to Bundelkhand hospital, where he underwent a surgery, according to the paper.

In July 2025, over 250 Bengali speaking, predominantly Muslim, migrant workers were detained and harassed in Haryana’s Gurugram, prompting them to leave en masse for their hometowns.
