However this could have been a scene from any one of the nearly 90 seed-protection village meetings that were organized recently from June 18 to June 22 in the tri-junction area and meeting point of three states in India—Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. A significant part of the population of this region consists of tribal communities who are known for their rich heritage of indigenous seeds, particularly of millets.
