Adani Group is under strict scrutiny after US-based short seller Hindenburg released a report on the conglomerate. The group witnessed a heavy downfall in the stock market after allegations of stock manipulation. PM Narendra Modi is being questioned for his alleged ‘close ties’ with Gautam Adani. Once again, the issues have been raised by Hungarian-American businessman George Soros. He raised questions over Modi-Adani ‘friendship’ and said that “India’s PM will have to answer”. Billionaire investor George Soros while giving a speech questioned PM Modi’s silence on Adani.
Modi and business tycoon Adani are close allies; their fate is intertwined. Adani Enterprises tried to raise funds in the stock market, but he failed. Adani is accused of stock manipulation and his stock collapsed like a house of cards.
