For sometime now, the right wing has taken over the narrative on decolonisation to mean a modern industrialised and services economy, but governed using old traditional, majoritarian systems to overcome the democratic uncertainties in governance..

In this presentation at a Seminar on Poverty, Hunger and Disability, Shaun gives us a nuance.   The Decolonisation was from the monolithic, individualistic and confrimist design.. and draw on sources and systems that earlier enabled "agency" of the common people which allowed them to find ways of surviving on their own..  He goes a step further.. He says that the modern colonial and post colonial, globalised system was to build a narrative and discourse on "vulnerability" of the underprivelieged section and find "mechanisms" by State to address this vulnerability.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR5ciVJbel4
