The Dharavi project is a chance to break the widespread pattern of slum dwellers selling/renting their free apartments and thereafter creating a whole new slum it’s almost certain that the conglomerate will have more than 6 crore square feet to sell in the open market. Keeping in mind the price point of its neighbouring locations, an average price of Rs 35,000 per square foot is achievable. That makes the Dharavi Redevelopment potentially a Rs 2,10,000 crore project

Comment: JD: What faith in Adanigiri! Touching. And the anti-pathy to people selling their SRA homes to go back to another Slum! and calling other views "political correctness. What will be the economic distress point .. which will people from leaving the 35,000 per sq foot mathboxes, unless like Singapore you can evict people from the streets! Large tracks of land in this country will probably have rules like the EEZs. I dont want to sound like a troll.. but we will need some solid studies.. On how much you can intensify this city, vertically, and the optimum curve for business/commercial expansion..
