प्रवीण भाई मुच्छड़िया from Satwik, in a field trip at the Vikalp Sangam -
मानव और भौतिक भूगोल की पढ़ाई में जाना था कि धरती की जो परत हमें रहने को मिली, असल में वही डिसाइड करती रही हमारा जीवन, दिनचर्या, रोजगार, रहन–सहन, परम्परा, खान–पान, पहनावा, समाज और यहां तक कि धर्म भी! while studying human and physical geography, I learnt that the layer of earth that we got to live in, actually decided our life, daily routine, employment, lifestyle, tradition, food, clothing, society and even religion!
According to a scientific estimate, if the age of the earth is considered to be 1400 years, then the age of human life is only 6 seconds and the age of our civilization is just 3 seconds!
अपने जीवन की स्थिति के बेहतर आंकलन के लिए ज्योग्राफी की समझ मददगार होती है। कच्छ की कहानी : 6 बताते हुए मेरा विचार और प्रगाढ़ हो रहा है कि भूगोल का शिक्षण ज्यादा से ज्यादा और घूमते–फिरते होना चाहिए, बेहतर समाज बनाने के लिए!Understanding geography is helpful for a better assessment of the condition of our life. While telling the story of Kutch I am convinced that the teaching of geography should be done as much as possible during our journey to create a better society!

There had been a steep decline in area under grasslands of Banni. In 1989, the Banni grassland area was spread over 1,42,882 hectares which reduced to a mere 63,073 hectares in 2009. This deterioration has continued since 2009 and it is imperative for the government to intervene before the grassland ceases to exist. Due to the drastic reduction in the grassland area, the government has had to procure 1,388 lakh kg of fodder in the form of grass from outside Gujarat, which has resulted in a huge burden on the exchequer. Apart from restoring the ecology of the region, the government also aims to become self-reliant for fodder. - Gujarat Ecology Commission https://gec.gujarat.gov.in/Home/Bannigrassland
A glimpse of how Satvik starts a discussion on Natural Farming.. https://youtu.be/sKaCgCvjvhQ
The videos have been contributed by Yogeshbhai of Jugnu. https://www.youtube.com/@YogeshYadav-zm1gv
He also features his suggestion: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JsXSbD6b03Q at the National Vikalp Sangam JD on WA: appreciate Yogeshbhai suggestion.. We will also have to talk about the Permaculture suggestion of mulching instead of crop burning in the capital region and elsewhere where there is canal irrigation, due to the glut of trying to re-use the field without giving the soil a chance to heal itself!
