Koshi Nav Nirman Manch organized a one-day dharna on 30 January 2025 from 11 am against the government and administrative neglect with the Kosi victims at the Degree College Chowk of Supaul district of Bihar state.
The demands include
The Kosi erosion victims should be paid for the house damage without delay and they should be settled in the vacant lands of rehabilitation.
The low land allotted to the erosion victims of Khakhai Spur of Supaul region should be filled with soil under MNREGA
All the families living within the Kosi embankment should be given benefits
The floods of Kosi will not end with the Kosi Mechi river linking scheme and Dagmara barrage, therefore all the discharge streams should be revived. Also, the Kosi problem should be solved by the coordination of scientific knowledge and folk knowledge.
